Egypt, Alexandria. Trajan. A.D. 98-117. AE drachm (34.14 mm, 19.65 g, 11 h). Alexandria mint, Struck A.D. 109/10. [AVTT P]AIAN CЄ-B ΓЄPM Δ[AKIK], laureate head of Trajan right / Sphinx with three heads (crocodile head at neck) standing right; in field, LIΓ (=yr. 13 = A.D. 109/10). RPC III 4432.3; Emmett 599. Rough VF, dark olive-green patina, deposits in recesses, large casting void 4:00-6:00 obverse losing some legend. Rare (Emmett frequency 5).
